Muhammad averages 100+ flights a year, specializing in finding stories of hope and resilience in places you wouldn’t expect. He flies to cool places, meets amazing people, and shares their stories with the world.
In 2016, he joined CNN as a correspondent for its flagship “Freedom Project,” where he went on to partner with a Nobel Prize winner to rescue young girls being held in captivity. Since then, he has covered nearly every major global story, from the war on ISIS to the Trump election.
In 2012, he joined ABC as an international correspondent and anchor, where he was one of the only correspondents to file for all ABC platforms, including TV, Digital, Social, and Radio, plus ABC’s partner networks ESPN, Fusion, and Yahoo.
He is originally from Toronto, Canada, and is a graduate of the School of Journalism at Columbia University. In his spare time, he is an avid travel writer.
